Qu’est ce que la beauté en 2018 ? Avec le développement de tendances beauté provenant des réseaux sociaux, l’industrie cosmétique a entamé une transformation de ses concepts et modes de production. Ce projet interroge l’influence des plateformes comme Instagram sur les standards de beauté actuels à travers une série d’objets – des têtes de poupées et d’animaux peints selon les critères de beauté d’Instagram – ainsi qu’un livre documentant ma démarche. Ce livre reprend les codes de l’application, tant au niveau typographique que formel (lecture verticale et « scrollable » à l’infini grâce à la spirale).

What is beauty in 2018 ? With the development of makeup trends coming from social media, the beauty industry started a transition in its concept and production system. This project questions the influence of platforms like Instagram through a collection of objects -10 barbie dolls and plastic animals heads, repainted up to Instagram beauty standards- and a book documenting my process. The book uses the app appearance, in its layout, typography and shape (vertical and scrollable with the spiral system).
